And is this the 4th straight year with a player on the 1st team All B1G? He must really excel at player development then if recruiting is his biggest flaw

According to 56, Marble, White, Pete were all "recruiting misses". Sure he will pretend now that he likes them, but they were all fallback to fallback to fallbacks recruits.

well, he's either good at recruiting, or good at player development because since his first 2 seasons at Iowa, the program has routinely played a step up from where their classes ranked. That's either because he has an eye for talent or good at developing the guys he's able to get or a combo of both. But IMO, the only way you can say recruiting is a flaw is if the product on the court doesn't play up to those expectations.

Does Lane play off the ball? He was quite a few more assists than Connor

Lane has 13 more assists - less than 1 per game. They are basically interchangeable. Watch this video. Who's the PG? If you go to their games, you will see who is PG when the game is on the line.

Lane must play a lot of PG if he is leading the team in assists

So, only the PG gets the most assists on a team? How about that? You know, Jordan Bohannon didn't lead his team in assists last year. But, he brought the ball up 90% of the time. Can you tell me how that happened?

Usually the PG on the team leads the team in assists

Someone get 56 back in the cage...I can't handle all of his dumb shit. He's getting owned and never shuts up. Go find something to do with your time already

He played off the ball in that camp actually, I remember seeing it on Twitter. If Fran couldn't get a PG to come in because of his combo guard son than he failed, simple as that

You make it sound like Fran not being able to land a point guard because his son is coming here is worse than Fran not being able to land able point guard for no reason at all.

We already know he hasn't landed his top target at that position yet. Isn't it better if there is a reason for it? Especially if that reason is a temporary issue?

But Jordan Bohannon was Mr. Basketball in Iowa, was the PG of the Linn-Mar basketball team, and only tied for 2nd place on his team in assists last year.

By the way, do you know who leads Wisconsin in assists per game? Do you know who is 2nd? How about 3rd?

Fran not landing a PG wasn't because of Connor

I mean what a terrible excuse that is. Fran screwed up, it happens

He will just end up finding another player like he usually does. I am shocked at how high a level Fran got the #299 ranked recruit in the country to play so early in his career. I mean the #299 recruit playing in a P5 conference is putting up similar or better PER's than many 4* PG, that is simply amazing.

No he's not. His PER is terrible

It's actually a really good excuse. A way better one than just being horrible for no reason at all.

If you think Fran didn't land the PG he wanted because of Connor I don't know what to tell you. I mean that's just plain stupid. He's not a good PG recruiter, it is what it is

I have no idea if that's why. What I do know for a fact is that reason is better than no reason at all. I also know for a fact that it's ridiculously stupid to think Fran somehow has an inability to land a good point guard but he is completely fine at landing every other position. It makes no sense whatsoever.
