Lestikow article on-Rotation

HAHAHAHA.....Yeah, draftexpress lists PER, it must be tots legit now.

It is like most other stats, pretty useless without context and MORE STATS. To think you can come up with just one stat that sums up a player is just stupid. Especially the defensive one that is fundamentally flawed, according to the creator of the stat.

You're the only person I've ever heard that said PER is a fake stat

I notice you didn't say that they think PER is some end all beat all stat.....because you know that BB people don't think that.

I never said it's the end all beat all stat, it's a very reliable stat. For you to say it's made up is just because it doesn't fit your narrative.

Still think Winston sucks? Obviously his PER is much higher than Bohannon's but man his offensive rating is way higher than his as well.

I say PER sucks because I don't think that relying on a defensive metric that isn't very reliable is very smart. It has nothing to do with Jordan, or what he PER is.

I also don't think Winston sucks, I think he is doing fine for a Fr. PG. It is you that for some reason wanna say a player sucks if they have a 12 PER in their FR year. I simply list the stats to troll you, since you try to determine everything about a player from his PER, and it seems to bother you that Jordan has a better PER than many of the 4* PG.

Winston has a 109.0 offensive rating and a 17.5 PER.

Here is the PER of players we offered. The two Bohannon is ahead of are playing spot minutes because they're behind an upperclassmen starter

Gibbs: 16.1 PER
Moore: 15.9 PER
Pritchard: 13.7 PER
Vital: 13.6 PER
Carr: 13.1 PER
Jackson: 13.1 PER
Bohannon: 11.9 PER
Simpson: 11.0 PER
Green: 10.7 PER

I don't know how many more times I can tell you that I don't buy into the PER stat LET ALONG as a standalone thing. So I'm not sure why you think this is going to mean anything to me??? I just got done explaining to you that PER alone means nothing. Maybe if you would list off their PPG, APG, eFG% and Orate along with the PER, I can then get an accurate picture of what kind of players these guys are. I have never seen a single one of them play, but 1 for the most part.

Why would you need their PPG, APG and eFG% along with the Orate when their Orate is based off of them?

I think we can all agree Bohannon is bad on defense. Below is the offensive rating for the following players we offered

Jackson 115.7
Gibbs 115.3
Pritchard 114.1
Vital 106.6
Bohannon 103.5
Moore 102.9
Simpson 100.6
Carr 99.0
Green 96.7

I thought you weren't going to hijack every thread? What does this have to do with our rotations?

Saying PER is meaningless is stupid

I'm not sure how you can say PER is meaningful if players with lower PER are better than players with higher PER. Saying a player is better because they a higher PER is the height of stupidity, you need much more than that. As a matter of fact if I gave you PER or didn't give you PER, you could tell me who the better player is with traditional stats:

Player X
19 PPG
2.7 APG
13 RPG
47.5% 3pt%
58.7% eFG%

Player Y
14 PPG
2.8 APG
9.2 RPG
0.00% 3pt%
60% eFG%

Both players look really really good

Oscar Robertson (last player to average a double double in the NBA for a season, and nearly did it a third season) has a 23 PER. Oscar was a great on-ball and help defender and was money when the game was on the line. Compare that to LeBron's PER of 29. Is LeBron that much better than Big O? I don't think so.
