Lazard

He's a legacy. His brother is already on the team. He wants to help build a program up and not just be another star recruit; that's a kind of "be your own man" attitude that he learned from his grandfather.

I have a very tough time seeing him backing out his commitment.

In related news. I plan to move to Iran and convince everybody that United States is totally awesome. At least Allen and I both tried.

Please remind me that you said this in a couple years. ISU has a lot of good young talent on this team right now and more guys coming. Lazard is just one of them. D'Vario Montgomery is another. Tommy Mister is another. And there is some really good young talent on the OL right now too.

Funny how Iowa wins one game in 3 years by six points against an ISU team with a QB playing on one leg and two 3rd string OL playing, and all of the sudden it's 1985 again. Good luck with that theory. Iowa is not that good either. ISU is just in a rebuilding year and we've already had a lot of injuries too.

Oh, and ISU lost 2 LBs to the NFL off of last year's team as well. Iowa will lose all 3 of their LBs after this year. Those things tend to set you back a bit.

You guys could go 0-12. I have a feeling that could have more an effect on a team than five guys that somebody else actually wanted. Lazard might stick, but your football program looks like a complete disaster right now. CPR has a 105 man roster of his players now...YIKES!

As a hawk fan, I would prefer to see Lazard end up somewhere else as I think he has the talent to be something special and would rather not have to face him.

Just will repost this again, as there is extra freaking out about Lazard right now. I have connections with kids he goes to school with (through club sports coaching and some small time drug dealing jk...nr...mjk)...word is he already Has an ISU tat and he is ISU4LYFTRUSOLDIER.

One parent put it to me this way: if Ames was half closer to DSM he would have transferred there for high school. He's Fred Hoiberg Level deep in clown college since birth.

LOL god damn Clone fans are dumb. You look at your recruiting in a vacuum, like no other school in the B12 is also bringing in four star recruits. Tommy Mister is a ******* three star recruit. Guys like him are a dime a dozen at every other B12 school. You are the worst team in the B12, you're bringing in the second to worst recruiting class in the conference. You're not going to get better. The fact that Rhodes team after five years is a worse than his very first team tells you everything you need to know about your program. #Momentum

Isn't this Paul Rhoads' most talented team?

Re-building from losing seasons?

Hey Tork, maybe you should stop trying to kiss *** to the ISU posters on CyFan and grow a pair. You are an Iowa fan right?

I'm not kissing ISU fan's ***** by saying I think Lazard will honor his word. That's my honest opinion based on what I've been told from multiple sources.

I'm not going to kiss the ***** of some Iowa fans by saying Lazard will go elsewhere, when that's not what I think. I'm not so blinded by hate for ISU that I'm going to spout off crap like that. All any of you have to go on is that ISU looks pretty God awful and you "wouldn't go to a team like that," and when you're the kind of person who wouldn't go to ISU if they were winning national championships every year, that argument doesn't carry a whole lot of weight.

We all know how legacies work out...

Green-Beckham down in Misery says hello. These youngens need to figure it out that you need better recruits to go along with themselves to change a program around. They can't do it by themselves.

Hey guy, maybe you didn't hear, ISU also has Tommy Mister coming in next year. Tommy ******* Mister. He's a three star recruit bro, guys like that can turn a whole program around.

I can respect a kid for wanting to try, though. Maybe from your perspective, it's foolish. But I would guess there were quite a few UNC fans who thought the same thing about Woodbury.

Well, yeah, but...

Easier and quicker to turn a basketball program around with one 5-star player than in football. I do think he's foolish because I think he's selling himself short. ISU has no history of winning or putting WR's in to the league. Does he really want to risk not getting in to the league which is quite possible at ISU? Chances are he still makes it, but the road could become longer and harder at ISU. Lack of exposure, lack of great coaching (at his position), lack of winning, etc. It's why I don't get all bent out of shape when the Hawks lose out on home grown kids with other huge offers (Alabama, Michigan, North Carolina, etc).
