Wow, this is actually impressive. Considering there really aren't *that* many regular posters on here it's kind of crazy that at least three of you have twins.
What do you see? ........ I see a team that wasn't expected to do much of anything come out and play about as hard as you can (to offset maybe not being the most skilled bunch) for a long period time. They have excited the fans and got the nations attention and no matter how they finish, my hats off to the effort this team. I see a team that has looked a little wore out the last 3 games from climbing this mountain and since they have a week off, I would give them 2 or 3 days off, tell them to stay entirely out of the gym and REST we'll get back at it Monday to get ready to finish fresh and strong! .......
... You can tell Uthoff needs to take Fran's advice and stay away from the gym for a couple of days ...
I was just sitting there shaking my head most of the game, but I really didnt lose my **** until Jok tried to thread the needle to Woodbury on the break with about 4 minutes left.
I have boy and girl twins that are 2. I also yelled out loud on Jok's turnover...and Gesell's missed layup. ...and every missed free throw in the last 4 minutes.
Oh. Dear. Lord. Lots of idiocy in this thread. Every single team goes through a rough stretch during conference play- it even happened to Wisky last year - and we happen to be going through ours right now. This break couldn't come at a better time. Time to rest and regroup and finish strong.
They need to move the ball more on offense. Stop the ISO garbage. Go back to getting Uhl/Baer/Wagner more minutes.
Play better team defense or play strictly man-to-man.
Our help defense has been pretty poor lately.
All of the problems we are seeing appears to be the result of a worn out team. Solution? Get the subs more minutes and get them those minutes in the first half.

Twins are everywhere these days. Something in the water maybe.
I have 8 year old twin boys.
My wife's sister has 7 year old twin boys.

Against the first half of our BIG conference slate, Uhl and Baer were getting 15-21 minutes per game.I'll agree that we stayed with the zone too long. But Uhl (14), Baer (12) and Wagner (11) got enough minutes. With the starters we have, 37 minutes for subs is plenty. What we can't have is poor shooting nights from more than one starter. Uthoff was 5-14 (including 2-7 from 3pt) and Gesell was 2-8. Uthoff shooting poorly and the team allowing 11 Penn St offensive rebounds is what hurt us the most. Penn St shot out of their minds the entire game, but giving them extra possessions by not securing rebounds is what ultimately did us in.
Correct. Last year Wisconsin was 15-1 and lost to Rutgers who was 9-7. It was the last game Rutgers won last year, they finished 10-22. Wisconsin went on and won a few more games....
