Koeppel Video

I guess he got tired of practicing against the #1 D-Line in the country and had to step it up. He stopped that truck dead in its tracks. Based upon that alone, he gets the starting job. Was that his shoe fliying up in the air? Thank god he is ok.

DJK says it's him on facebook, his words in the upload were " YO SHOUT OUT TO MY TEAMMATE JOSH KOEPPEL FOR SURVIVING THIS HIT MONDAY MORNING ON HIS MOPED..... GOD IS GOOD!"

Yeah, that's where I got it from originally. I was trying to post it but FB vids don't post well so I uploaded it to youtube.

Question on the video- It's from a police cruiser dash cam and then obviously recorded on a phone, is there any violation in that?

I'm sure its video from the police cruiser, which is why you have the the outside of the screens on both ends blacked out, like they tried to edit it so it couldn't be identified as police cruiser video.

The only reason to try and hide the fact it was cruiser footage is if they could get in trouble for leaking it.

I've watched that thing 20 times this morning and I can't get over how lucky he is to be alive, let alone not seriously injured. That is amazing footage.

Unbelievable. I just can't stop watching the impact and think how the hell did he walk away from this? One tough dude!

Yes, that was his shoe that went flying up in the air. I can't believe that the driver of the truck was only charged with failure to yield the right of way (or something like that).

I hope Kirk Ferentz makes it a team rule that all the players must wear helmets if they're riding a moped or motorcycle. Koeppel is EXTREMELY fortunate to walk away from that accident.

I'll put $10000 down the pickup driver was either texting or yakking on their cell phone.

7:30 in the morning, eastbound into the sun. Drivers don't often see motorcycles/mopeds/bikes. It can happen. To anyone. That's why it is called an accident. That's what he did - failed to yield. Without more facts, he's not deserving of another charge.
