Captain Kirk is not going anywhere. Its a stated rule, "The captain goes down with the ship" is a tradition that a captain holds ultimate responsibility for both his ship and everyone embarked on it, and he will die trying to save either of them. So by them rules, the Iowa Program will have to have RMS ISU written on it before any changes are made.

I am skeptical by this information myself but typically credible posters are posting this information. Take it for what it's worth but if you don't believe it to be true, then why post something negative like this unless you are a negative person in general.

Wouldn't make sense right now where we're at in the pecking order.. Mich, Fla, Neb.. unless they had their target replacement already locked up..

When we all get over our rage about the collapse against Nebby and Kirt's seeming reluctance to put the best players on the field (for most of his tenure at Iowa), the sad reality is he will be our coach next year and likely many years after that.
I am not optimistic there'll be a change.
As much as we'd all like to see a regime change, I'm beginning to think that we may need to wait until another year to go on a coaching search. Wait until a year where no blue blood programs are also searching. Right now we would be about last in the pecking order, and the other programs would also have about a month head start on us.
