Kicking Game Worries No One Talking About It????

Miguel Recinos is a very intriguing prospect.

If anything, the Hawks have the legs to not be defending kickoff returns if they find that unit isn't a strength.

We can only be hopeful that KF has a legit prospect in the fold. I can't remember the kid from Texas' name (FR), but he was like top 10 kickers in HS last season. Hopefully, this kid pans out. We damn sure could use another Nate Kaeding.
LOL, where did you pull that one out of? Rivals has him as a 2 star with no national ranking and offers from Yale and Iowa.

Hopefully the kicking game is not an issue. If Iowa Football's motto is "keep the games close", then a missed PAT or FG could mean the difference between W's and L's in a tight game. Not to mention having the confidence to kick a FG from 45-50 yards out instead of punting. Now if Iowa can put the ball in the end zone with more regularity... moot point.

After Kids practice I'm more than a little worried about the kicking game. No pressure, no wind and the results for these three kickers was less than mediocre. The way KF's style of play is you can't afford a weak kicking game.

If Koehn does perform well, I hope we get to see Ellis. All reviews say this kid is the real deal.

Didn't Ellis participate yesterday? I thought all kickers were consistantly missing.

(I meant if Koehn "doesn't" perform well,...my bad). But yeah, that's what I gathered as well. Nobody really stood out.

Ellis has pretty strong reviews coming out of high school, so maybe it's just an adjustment thing. (even Kaeding had a spotty start).

If we have a really kick *** team, but a crappy kicker , that's a much easier fix than a crappy football team and a kick *** kicker. Seriously, there's a lot of kickers at Ellsworth or DMACC or Kirkwood that would do just fine

They might need to be enrolled in school soon so I'm guessing this isn't an option? Plus they had another kicker in Haffar and KF sent him packing. It will be interesting to watch how he does at Minnesota State Mankato if kicking goes south with the Hawks? Oh and Kickers are very important to a good team, just ask Bobby Bowden or even Dan McCarney.
