KF Salary No. 18 Overall, No. 6 in Big Ten

For those complaining about Kirk's salary vs accomplishments. Look at Jim Harbaugh, they are second in top talent in the conference and only wins games against the little guys.
I thought you said salary vs accomplishments. You're using a different metric for Harbaugh.

I've never seen another person get more flack for making as much money for himself as he can. The guy gives away millions of dollars each year. But by all means continue to dog him for being good at making more money, something all of us want in our own occupations. He is well worth the money to the university and the sports department. For as much money as he brings in, the guy is getting underpaid.

Thank you! Good post.

Can you provide us with documentation of the million(S) he gives away every year?

He would be a moron, and his accountant even a bigger one, if he wasn't donating part of his salary for tax purposes every year.

I doubt very much it is million(S). Kirk is way more shrewd than you give him credit for.

Is it him bringing in the money or is it the football program?

KF doesn't exactly field an exciting brand of football. I'm wonder if people wouldn't spend a ton of money on this program regardless of who the coach was?

As long as that coach isn't a POS like Alford or Dantonio who stain the program with their stench.

This is probably the most coherent post I've ever seen you make. You doin ok??
Thanks I think? Walking with Dog to 'watering' holes checking on Extended Happy Hours alot. Exercise I guess works.Win Sat. Bye,we go from there. Sammy the Chocoate Lab.

Kirk, Pat Fitz and quite a few others could win 70% of their games with Harbaugh's team. NW, Iowa do it with a lot of overlooked players. Given that Harbaugh is one of the highest paid coaches in the conference with a stable of 39 4 and 5 star players and he is likely to lose 4 or 5 games this year, yeah he's definitely overated and overpaid.

Bernie Madoff was also very benevolent before he went to federal prison.

If Kirk is evaluated on "how much money he brings into the university" as opposed to on field results, well, then that helps explain the dynamic, and the tension.

Coach salaries are like CEO salaries once the stock market took off in the years after the '87 crash. We had a rising tide lift all the boats (major cyclical interest rate cuts and tech advances) and everyone patted themselves on the back like it was all their doing. The schools all figured out that they could fleece the shit out of the fan bases and cable companies and make boatloads of money, at least in the short run.

Power and money...not difficult to track

I wonder how a team of 4-5 star athletes would develop under Kirk's tutelage...turn into packages of vanilla?

Thankfully our Coach.
Oh yeah, we could never, ever do better, or expect better results right? Program is stale, offense is stale, boring, prehistoric. This program needs new blood, except for Parker as he earns every penny, and should be paid more considering he is the main reason we win games at all.

He does it with overlooked players because he can't recruit at the skill positions worth a shit. David Bell, perfect example. Part of what he is getting paid to do is recruit, which is probably the most important thing as far as results on the field. Oh, his game day coaching and clock management is why he makes so much right?
