How can you not know of a player who had a standout career for an entire decade at your school???
I think Mr. Wade Lookingbill would disagree with you giving that title to Mr. Settles...lawsuit pending.

Oh yes! Mr. Lookingbill.... I remember he used to shoot bank shots durning pre game warm ups.
I still love how Mr. Davis liked to use the 6'7 white guy as the shadow token presser.... Jess Settles came into Iowa his freshmen year completely jacked, that guy was put together. I swear he played 38+ minutes a game and was all out all the time.

They have done this before and I have called in and set the story straight. Not going to do that with them any more. They are who they are, and folks that have listened to that station long enough know that they are over the top in some ways. They certainly break news, they serve some sort of public interest in the city, and they do things a certain way. Some people enjoy dirty laundry radio. Some don't.
I know one thing for certain; they appreciate people talking about it
They sound like political pundits...deflect criticism by yelling and pointing at something else.
Man, they are really hatin' on Jon now. "He thought he was going to buy this radio station but couldn't get the call letters right".
I was thinking they sound more like a couple of dicks...
I gave a call to KCJJ after the show today, not to discuss the sleights directed at me, but rather, the claim that I misrepresented what they had reported. I certainly don't want to that, as I hate it when others do that with what I say or write.
After discussing the timeline and what they posted, I see at least the origin of their concern.
I wrote that KCJJ was reporting that Lickliter would resign after the season due to health reasons. They initially reported that Lickliter would be gone after the year, resigning. They later came back and said that the University would cite health reasons. While it may seem like semantics to some, I understand how those are two different things. A correction had been made to the story.
