Oh my, that would be a killer! Would cover if they miss a late 3 and then end up losing by 5. Unreal! All that and Xavier doesn't even cover the 4.5 pt spread, HA!
+1 Gus captures the emotion of the game and really adds to it.If I ever decide to have a man-crush, I'm pretty sure Gus Johnson will be the object of my affection. It was awesome having him call a great game like that-just love listening to him lose his mind. He is enthusiastic like Vitale, but not annoying and cheers for both teams. That game rocked!

My one gripe with him is tonight he kept saying "time's out" it was kind of annoying
Does your dad say R'sBI (Runs Batted In) or RBIs?My dad (former Mason City High associate principal) has always been REALLY bothered by people using the plural "Time Outs." He routinely corrects the announcers and anybody in the room who says it the traditional way. He is pretty much obsessed with the idea-kind of like ex-smokers hate smoking. My guess is that Gus has the same disease my dad has and is trying to institute the "grammatically proper" usage into our vernacular. Yes, in the last few minutes especially, he said that over and over. (Go Mohawks-MCHS grad 1986)

huh? What are you talking about? What are you supposed to call more then one time out?
It was a raging debate in my house growing up and my dad is still insistent after all of these years that the proper way of saying it is "times out." As in "They have three more times out." I have always argued that the item we are talking about is inseparably one sports term called a "time out," so that the correct plural form is "time outs" ... kind of like "strike outs" and "home runs." Dad insists though, and he is pretty passionate about it.
