Jump Pass

I don't know if this is covered somewhere else but, what the heck is up with the jump pass? Seems like a good way to throw the ball away.

Cully needs to stay on his feet and learn to push through a double team or simply use a bounce pass. His teammates could help him out a bit by getting into a spot where Cully can see them. Not going to make a living jumping and trying to pass at any level.

he fell in love with it early and it got flat out ridiculous tonight, i don't remember a pass where he wasn't jumping. i'm suprised lickliter can even watch that, i bet it just absolutely tears at him everytime he leaves his feet.

Not that I am a fan of the jump pass, but when he is trying to jump to see and pass over much taller defenders I can somewhat understand. But yes, it was overused tonight by Cully.

Coach Lick just said it on the post game - one jump pass is too many. He doesn't like the jump pass, but Cully only had 2 turnovers.

I have heard from people watching his high school tape that almost every pass he threw was of the jumping variety. I didn't notice it as much early in the year but it appears he is going back to it.

I have no problem at all with the jump pass. I like the fact that the jump pass creates space for Cully, yes at time he can get carried away with it, but it isn't going to go away.

Cully's numbers tonight...6 assists and 2 turnovers. I'll take the 3:1 assist to turnover ratio anyday of the week with a jump pass or standing pass.

He had 2 turnovers. I think that is very good against a pressing, trapping team.

When the jump pass works, it is kind of like when a coach jumps up from the bench when a bad shot is taken, but then it goes in, so you just sit back down and clap.
