You can say this about purdue

Danny Hope is also creeping closer to the hot seat list, or will be if he keeps up with his fascination with Caleb TerBush. I’ve nothing against Caleb, I just don’t think he’s their best option. If he is, then their ceiling is only so high. I’d play Marve and get his as many reps as possible for the home stretch.

Just wondering why you didn't say this about Iowa and jvb

Burp...(slurring) Wanna take back...(barf....barf...)what you said about Danny Dope...

What the hell was this all about?

I think the primary difference between TerBush vs. Marve and JVB vs. Rudock/Sokol is that Marve has extensive game experience, something that just isn't the case for either of Iowa's backups.

Ok let's just replace a few names

Kirk ferentz is also creeping closer to the hot seat list, or will be if he keeps up with his fascination with James vandenberg. I’ve nothing against James, I just don’t think he’s their best option. If he is, then their ceiling is only so high. I’d play Ruduck and get his as many reps as possible for the future.

There, two name changes and change home stretch to future and you have what 90 percent of what most hawk fans think and I believe a lot of so called football gurus think

But Iowa is in first place in their division and plays defense. Purdue is 0-3 we are 2-0.

JAMMIN' JIMMY VANDERBERG IS WAY BETTAR THAN TEH CAEL TORBOOSH AND ROBIN FARVER COMBINED!!!11!

You changed 3 names. And pretty sure KF is creeping away from the hot seat. If it was even warm.

So your happy with first in a terrible conference then? For the short time that we'll be there any way. Just cuz a turd floats doesn't make it a boat.

Do we have a choice which conference we play in? No. With how this team played in the nonconference how could you not be happy with being on top? Seems like you're really searching for something negative.

Well for one thing Marve plays for Purdue, which makes it hard for Iowa to put him in.

Please people! Vandy has a passer rating of 106.6 ranking him 118 of 124 "Qualified" Division 1 QB's according to ESPN. He has 2 TD's though 24 quarters of play. This is awful, you simply cannot spin it any other way. He's a nice kid but I would bet my bank account Rudock or Sokol can do better, probably much better than this.

It's about to or already has turned into Jake Christiansen 2.0.

Iowa doesn't have a Marve on the team. If someone were close to JVB's level, I'd be all for considering a change. But just like Stanzi wasn't close to Jake in 2007, there won't be a change. And Arvell Nelson taking himself out of the mix in Feb 2008 helped Ricky have more of an opportunity to get reps.

I'm not searching for some thing negative. I was just showing how Jon can call for another teams qb to benched for lack of skills, playmaking ability, or what ever but he hasn't said the same thing about JVB. When we all have watched the games and have seen JVB struggle. The games we have won, we won inspite of JVB's playing. Would we be worse off or better with out JVB in the back field? That's the question. And I don't think Jon has not stated his opinion on that to my knowledge. What he says is that the coaches must believe JVB gives us our best chance to win. Not what he thinks they should do.

After reading, some state there is a significant gap between what Vandy brings to the table compared to Rudock at this point so I pose this for discussion:

First, I do not wish for this to happen but what if Vandy gets hurt and Rudock is forced to lead as QB. How likely would it be that Rudock does no worse than 58% completion percentage, throws 3 TD's, throws 3 INT's but rushes for 3 yards per game over the next 24 quarters?

If those stats were true, he'd be outperforming Vandy. I just don't see why everyone is so content with Vandy and why they think Rudock can't improve our chances.

Frankly, you people don't know jack **** about what a quarterback has to do. Its not just fading back and choosing between the X Y and Z buttons on your xbox controller.
