Jon....you have some explaining to do

The only receiver who is even remotely frightening to the opponents game plan is Wadley...and he is beating his brains out between the tackles most of the time.

Thus...Iowa dies on the vine...as they try to run against 8 men in the box...

This is vintage Kirk...vanilla...boring...losing...quintessential game plan today...no pass threat...not much of a threat of anything...

There's your answer...

I like Kirk the person and sometimes Kirk the coach, but come on, there are so many hungry young coaches out there that would jump at an Iowa offer. Now getting another Haden Fry, that would be hard! I've just never enjoyed Kirk's style of football. One thing I guarantee, there would still be 70,000 fans at games, supportive alumni, and cash coming in. I feel like we fans have become so afraid of the possibility of doing worse we'll settle for middle of the road. I not calling for regime change but jeeze, let's not be so scared of it. I just feel the whole father/son thing in coaching just never works out. Like in the movie Step Brother's when Riley character say's "We're a family of learned doctor's" I can just picture at the coaches meeting Brian saying the offense needs "more blankets and less blankets" and Kirk having to admit that he's right. The father passing the torch just never work's out and honestly it shouldn't. Can you imagine going to the head coach to critic or possibly compete for a position with the coaches son. Awkward.

Yah, father/son combo kind of awkward...like at Thanksgiving dinner at the KF home.

Wow, we have really coached our guts out but we still suck...

Yah, but we are making millions...how about a toast to the KF family....cheers

Exactly right. There are zero playmakers on this team. There is no talent at receiver, and none coming to help. What recruit with any talent at all would want to come play in this offense? Not gonna change until the Ferentz clan is out of Iowa City.

So I guess you were born yesterday.. Give me a break with this dribble... You haven’t gotten a clue as to what your talking about.. NOT A CLUE!!!!! Especially when it comes to KF and motivation and coaching college kids..

You think we look like a motivated team? No energy, no motivation, no sense of urgency, nothing. The team acts like the coach.

Dude quit saying fucking "ferments". I agree with a lot of what you said and then you come off like a total fucking douchebag when you intentionally misspell his name.

Nut up and attack a person head on like a man...on the internet

Today, our most positive, glass always half full, Hawk fan at our Dallas area Hawkeye watching club yelled out loud when Brain called the 3rd and 7 running play in OT.

If you know you are going for it on 4th down (as in OT you are), a running play actually isn't a bad idea in my opinion. Grab some yards so that a potential 4th down has both a run/pass option.

A quality take.

I think you're wrong about the talent.

He's mostly trolling.

That sentence makes me laugh. Act like a grown up on the internet, who does that?:)

Ferments, Wispondscum, PEDU, Nebby, Clowns, all are acceptable on a message board in my humble opinion.:)

Ferments is just one name that I will take credit for....there was also Boy Blunder and Alfraud for Steve, and Lackluster for Todd. Sorry, but our program has been fermenting for years so I feel that it is justified. Juvenile? Certainly. Deserved? You bet. And BTW, quit taking what I post so seriously....life is short dude.

Listening to podcast now....so, just because you picked them to go 6-6 you can't throw flames? What in hell is up with you after EVERY loss taking this moral high ground on criticism....it's become very vomit worthy.
His "go ahead and disagree with me, but if you do, you're an idiot" attitude was a bit much in the instant podcast. Now he's boasting about the 6-6 prediction and there's still 5 games left. It was a strange podcast.

NO! NO! And again, NO! Our defense played well enough to win this game. They were let down by a turrible offensive squad and special teams play.

In coach-speak, yeah, a team loss. But in the real world, the O and special teams earned us this L.

Embarrassing.
Biggest Iowa leadership/coaching move this year so far...scheduling UNI...

There you have it...
How else are we going to get to 6 wins with KIrk and Brian?
