i don't have him or any of the team as 'friends'. his profile just happens to be 100% public, so easy to see. no different in going to that website as it is this one, imo.

i agree that having 'friends' you don't even know is strange, especially when you are putting communication up.

i've of the opinion that facebook/twitter is simply massive time waste. but in this case, it is simply digging out information about a player who may or may not be on the team in short order.

And there's the other side of it I didn't figure on: if you are on any of the Hawk fan "pages", you get all kinds of crap linked and get notifications. I had to "uninstall" Facebook on my Blackberry because of all the crap I kept getting.

Don't even get me started on FarmVille or Bejeweled...over which I have "unfriended" a ton of people.

agreed. i have a page that i rarely use. in fact, i have to log in when i want to go out there and search - so i don't get the crap you describe.

Guess I will join in on the hijack too. This is correct. If you nip them in the bud and just select "ignore ******" it will ignore anything from that app, no matter who is sending it. This way you still get the persons status updates and stuff without ignoring them in general.
