Carmelo (groin injury) and Amare (personal leave after brother's death) were still out of the lineup tonight and Lin was matched up against Derek Fisher but 38 points was a nice surprise after he scored 25, 28 and 23 in his previous 3. It will be interesting to see what happens when Carmelo comes back because he tends to isolate and go one and one, even Amare has hinted he is unhappy about it and his numbers are way down since playing with Carmelo. I would expect a lot more pick and rolls from Lin/Amare, it will be interesting to see how Carmelo handles that. It is shocking the Warriors released Lin in December on the first day of camp after the lockout considering it was Mark Jackson's first season as head coach. I would have guessed he would be a pretty good evaluator of point guards. Instead they brought in tiny point guard 5'9 Nate Robinson when they are already undersized in their backcourt. Whoops!
