Jacob Park -ISU

Love Kyle but doesn't have the strongest arm. I assume coaches got enamored with physical tools of people ahead of him. That said, ISU was his third stop. Played for Riley at Oregon State, transferred when he left and got no playing time there. Went to Hutchison junior college in Kansas, didn't start there. I mean I'm guessing he's a gamer and didn't show it in practice because you have to assume a guy unable to play at a JUCO won't be playing at ISU. However he made the most of his opportunity this year and I respect the heck out of him for it.
Trouble is, after October everyone saw him coming. 1-3 down the stretch. ISU won't be taking anyone by surprise next year and may have a target on their back, especially from OK and TCU. For me, if Campbell can get them to a bowl next year he will be the hottest girl at the coaching carousel dance.

It's kinda sad to see this go down on the message boards. Sounds like he wants to blame everyone but himself. He claims that everyone turned on him quickly. Cyclone fans are many things, but disloyal is not one of them. He says he hadn't talked to any of the coaches since about 2 weeks after that game, yet there are many reports of him being with the team the full year, in workouts and off the field, and Campbell said Park had missed two meetings scheduled with him in the past few weeks.

In addition, he's using his life stressors as a crutch and excuse for his use. That right there tells me he's not quite ready to get healthy yet. He has to face it straight up and want to get better.

hes going to end up a loser working at McDonalds mark it down. Dope smokin dope head punk wanna be. If McDonalds doesn't work I see him an uncle rico type guy who works in sanitation in some mid sized city somewhere. Just a sad loser.

Point understood, but honestly nobody should ever be suspended for smoking weed.

Not disagreeing with you, but when the NCAA does it's drug test and you test positive for weed you are suspended. We have random drug testing where I work and if you test positive for weed you can be fired. (And yes, we have facilities in California, Colorado and Washington)

Its existence is a problem; the NCAA that is...

He was also playing hurt, and really only played 2 of those games. Regardless we're getting out over our skies here, I doubt he gets that 6th year.

BryceC your team has got to be close to a record for rotating QB's. How many years now have you had that going on.? Next Montgomery will probably be a RPO QB.

Kempt was exactly what the Clones needed this year at QB. A guy who protected the football and made good decisions. He could put the ball where it needed to be as well. He didn't have a great arm, but it really isn't always as important as some make it out to be.

If Park would have been QB all year, ISU struggles to get to a bowl game. I don't think ISU beats OU or TCU if Park is the QB, making questionable decisions. Park messed up his life, but helped ISU's team by his absence.

The best thing that happened to them was Park doing what he does best.

Park has a kid to support and has to figure out a career because it doesn't look like football stardom is in his future.

Shame on me for not seeing the glaring similarities between the lives of Jacob Park and Michael Phelps. I bet phelps s was stoned very time he swam in the olympics.
The fact that you used the word "stoned" shows how damn ignorant you are. Maybe he took a shit load of CBD tincture, maybe he wore a THC-A patch. Hell, maybe he juiced raw cannabis. Lots of ways to use MJ without getting "stoned." People like you should just keep your mouth shut before everyone knows you are an idiot.

No of us know much of anything on this. The guy likely has medical issues in conjunction with other issues. Those tend to go hand in hand. You guys are more obsessed with Park than ISU fans are.

Banter is fun. Rivalry is fun. These guys get it right.

No knowing much of anything has never stopped you from shooting off your mouth pretending you are an expert. You should be the last person to lecture on shit like this.
