I've never seen a team so caught up in the outside distractions

Unfortunately, that's disappointing given his position as a senior and a captain. You expect your seniors to play thru frustration and disappointment and other elements that you would expect to get a freshman or sophomore down. But McCabe just hasn't learned to flush things.....at least that's what it looks like from the outside.

McCabe has a right to react how McCabe reacts. We all have different experiences in life. Something could happen to me this afternoon and it would effect how I'd react to something tonight. Basketball is only a game, although I can understand getting emotionally involved in it. I'm still learning how to flush it when Iowa loses. Hopefully, Fran can recruit a couple of supermen this spring, or a couple of guys that are pretty unemotionally involved with the outcome.
