Sorry Jon, I failed to see you had already posted this link. They must feel very good about Lowery at cb. I think this could be a great move; although it feels like we will have plenty of talent at safety now, and might be a little thin at corner. I guess he can move back if injuries take their toll.

Castillo is much better than Iowa fans give him credit. He is solid and takes care of his responsibilities. Of course, that said, everything that I've heard about Lowery suggests that he has a VERY high ceiling.

Jon I trust your opinion but can Castillo cover big and fast receivers and hold the corner? If Hyde goes to FS where does T Miller go? Is this a sign that his injury may be more than advertised?

I think it's more of a sign that Hyde > T Miller

I think Hyde is overall better fit for FS. While we are a little weak at CB, I think Hyde is gonna become a better player from this move.

I like the move, Hyde is a ball hawk and this puts him in position to play that style more often.

but is hyde a solid tackler? we ask a lot of our safeties in run support. i know he's good, otherwise he wouldn't have started at corner, but in our style, we really need our safeties to be able to come up and make the stop.

seems like a logical move. much more depth at safety. I was really hoping bernstein was going to get into the mix.

I hope we use Bernstine in the nickel a lot this year. Not going to hurt my breath on it happening though.
