ISU looking Good

Announcers just said that ISU was asserting it's will on that drive. Considering that was only ISU"s second possession of the half, and that NIU extended it by committing a dumb penalty, I find that hard to believe.

About the game itself. For a time in the second half, it looked like they might run away with it, but then they turned it over three times in a row. Their punter kicked it 18 yards. Their d-line can't get any pressure on the NIU QB. The NIU d-line has held Robinson in check for the most part. Arnaud has racked up tons of yards, but has thrown a couple picks. Their offense has committed penalty after penalty.

Sloppy game out of ISU; they've got a lot of things to clean up before next weekend.

I like what I've seen out of ISU. They are going to be useful in helping us prepare for Penn State, ISU, and NW. They run similar sets to all those teams, but unlike them are completely void of talent outside of QB, RB, and TE.

They ran the dive play a lot in the first half, and had it working pretty good. NIU largely shut it down in the second.

I wouldn't expect the dive to work next weekend.

Really, so the two all-conference offensive lineman (Lamaak and Osemele) at ISU are devoid of talent?

I would expect our defensive line will get more penetration, which will disrupt their running game -- both the read play and the dive. Still I bet they will be able to move the ball, it's just a matter of if they can sustain drives and score touchdowns against the Iowa defense.

When was the last time ISU scored a TD on us?

Count me in as worried about next week...seriously. They have an offense that will give us fits.

C'mon, how hard do you really think the defense has been game planning for EIU? The only thing ISU accomplished tonight was giving Norm an extra day to look at film. That dive play isn't going to work next weekend.
