Is Stanley the future?

I enjoyed Coach Ferentz's comment when asked about Stanley's solid presence for a true freshman. "I'm trying to figure out if that's who he is or if he just doesn't know what's going on".

I agree that the kid "looks the part"....he looked poised, confident, and he certainly has an arm. However, he was still only 5-17 against the 3rd team defense, so I'm not quite ready to anoint him just yet....

I heard he's so good, he may leap CJ this yea

KF always says good things about his new freshmen. Doesn't mean a thing...
If KFs opinion doesn’t mean anything what’s that make yours worth? Look it’s pure speculation at this point. Nobody is speaking in absolutes here. Other than the chance is there. There’s a path that people can see where it could happen. You talk as though you’re an old GM talent evaluator/scout and have complete autonomy with your opinions being right and everyone else’s that disagrees being garbage. I mean seriously I hope that crown you wear every day doesn’t hurt your neck from the weight of it

From the way people are talking, his passes must have had so much mustard on them that the receivers dropped several passes right between the numbers.

From what we saw in limited action, he looks the part in the pocket and he can sling it. He has the physical tools. Im excited to see him down the road
Now this is a 'rational' observation without all the embellishment. How hard is that? For some of you, quite hard, because you want to 'sound' like some expert instead of just expressing a somewhat 'informed' opinion.....

Well, who put all the damn mustard on the balls! I know I couldn't catch a ball covered in mustard. And it must have left some terrible stains on the uniforms. I feel bad for the team managers having to get that out of the uniforms. Mustard should be left at the concession islands where it belongs!!!

People on here most definitely speak in 'absolutes' all the time, that's why I pick on some. You apparently don't understand what talking in absolutes is. When someone says, 'he has that 'it' factor' he is speaking in absolutes (Teleological statements that will not tolerate any variation/Spoken as a statement of certainty). People speaking in absolutes, starts about every argument on here. 'You are an idiot', is speaking in absolutes, as I am saying that I'm absolutely 'certain' you are an idiot. Now, of course I'm not talking about you, I'm just making a point and if you guys haven't noticed, it's mainly when people are speaking in 'absolutes' is when I have a little fun with them by speaking 'absolutes' back to them.......Some of the sharper ones on here have already figured that out....

Hold up. You and I just went rounds and rounds over how you accused me of speaking in absolutes on this very topic even after how I'd tried to explain to you that I wasn't. Now I wasn't referring to the 'it' factor part of things with Stanley. I know others have. I was speaking towards the idea that there is possible path for him to push Wiegers to start next year. And you were pretty adamant that there isn't. That's fine only time will tell. But you ranted and raved up and down about what an idiot I was for even having the thought. Which I'm not the only one. Reporters have started bringing up the topic along with other fans. I would say if Wiegers doesn't get hurt or in trouble there's a 80 plus percent chance he'll start week 1 next yr. Maybe more. But it's certainly not the 100% chance there is with CJ if he's healthy this yr. I think it'll be as open of a competition as there's ever been for it. There's talk that Boyle will possibly go back to QB next yr. Now why on earth should there be that talk now? There's two qbs behind him in eligibility with Stanley and Mansel who'll be there next yr on top of Wiegers and Cook. So why should he even entertain that (I think he certainly is btw) It's because the job will be wide open. He knows how good Wiegers and Cook are and he thinks he can compete with them. That's what I think anyway. So since that depth chart is going to be written in invisible ink why not throw your hat back in the ring and see how the chips fall. Next spring will be pretty interesting not to mention fall camp

I think when you're on a message board, it's pretty much a given that you're giving your opinion and not speaking in absolutes. I absolutely know that's how people with good reading comprehension take posts on here.

When someone says "he has the it factor" most intelligent people understand he is giving his opinion. Reading is hard when you're a douche.
