Iowa will most likely be 1-1 heading into the ISU game (IMO)..

How else do you explain your fanbase justifying a 6-7, 9th place B12 season as another successful year for Rhodes? It has to be because he beat Iowa.

On paper this year's ISU team is terrible, terrible, bad. They should lose every conference game. So, if we lose to them, its going to be a long season.

If ISU fans get off on a win over Iowa, it based solely on watching Iowa fans melt down. Most of the focus is on B12 play, OOC is just cushion for a bowl game. Winning more in conference > beating Iowa, by a huge degree. The rivalry is fun and all, but if it got scrapped, that would be ok too.

Nah, that can't be it. If that was true than Rhodes should be on the hot seat by now as ISU continues to move backwards compared to its conference foes. He's never won more than 3 games in the B12, he finished 9th in a 10 team conference in his 4th year and is now headed for a "rebuilding" year in his 5th season. It must be his performance against Iowa that is leading to all the momentum your coach is building over there.

I get what you're saying, but he is using your own words against you, and he is sort of right.
It doesn't mean anything to me, I just enjoy hearing Cyclone fans talk themselves into believeing something when the actual facts reveal a completely different story. It cracks me up.
And like you just showed, they never have an actual rebuttal when presented with these facts, they just make some snarky comment and change the subject, usually about Iowa making the NIT again or Ferentz being overpaid.

His "generalization of the fanbase" is spot on. You're telling me the majority of ISU fans do not feel like Paul Rhoads is turning things around? That is the only thing that's asinine. Very little has changed. That's a fact.

I never said anything about his record. You are making stupid generalizations that we are thrilled with the current record. I in no way am excited about that. The two bowl losses **** me off to no end. But all we can do at the moment is wait it out and see what happens.
