Then you are going to be terribly, terribly disappointed. At most, this is a 9, possibly 10 seed team, maybe even lower. Despite January's success, the year-end slide has left more stains than a GI going commando. The committee will not look kindly, I fear.

How come I feel like you're just spouting off? What credible source has Iowa as a 9 seed?
Bracketology that was updated today (not sure if it was after the loss or not) has Iowa has a 6 seed.

Jay Bilas said they could fall to the 8/9 game and would be a nice upset pick to take down a 1 seed.

Well what I'm drinking is the TOTAL Iowa Resume review. I honestly would be shock to see them fall past a 7th seed. Yes the ending was horrid but the Mchigan win in Ann Arbor to me sealed a no lower than 7 seed. Had Iowa lost to Michigan and kept the losing streak intact than yes 8/9 certainly was plausible.
Iowa resume is very strong no matter how the ending tasted.
