Question: Is there a post-season AP ranking similar to college football? We'd probably be a top 25 team, no?

Either way, I wonder if we'll start next season ranked. I can't even remember what it's like for our basketball team to be ranked.

End of season poll should come Tuesday, I believe.

If the Hawks win tomorrow they would be 26-12. I would hope that would get them ranked. Hard telling though.

That order is pretty close to the BTT seeding...and pretty accurate IMO. Michigan's team is built more for the NCAA Tournament than the Big Ten (regular season) style of play IMO.
 
The knock on us was that we couldn't win away from home. Beating Virginia at their place, Maryland on a neutral court and Baylor on a neutral court should wipe away that stigma. We could/should be ranked IMO. I am almost certain we will be ranked going into next season...with a win against Baylor.

Note - That's 4 NIT wins by double figures...Nice way to eliminate any doubts!

But, but, but Iowa isn't an NCAA tournament caliber team! They had ZERO good wins! Iowa was lucky to even make the NIT!

Sorry haters, Iowa continues to prove they were worthy of an NCAA tournament bid.
 
They should re select for the tourney and start over. We will make it for sure. The regular season just ended a little to early for us.

No. Go look at the last poll and teams 20-25 as well as one getting votes and ask yourself which ones we'd pass.
 
I agree with Duff, no way Iowa ends up ranked if they win tonight. I have been as excited as anyone over this NIT run but let's face it, it is still the NIT. Wins over the 40th to 70th best teams that just missed the NCAA tournament are not impressive enough to get anyone ranked.
 
Pomeroy of 20 and Sagarin of 17 and that is only 6th best in the B1G.

This conference is crazy good.

Is the NIT winner ever ranked in the final rankings? I doubt any of the voters pay enough attention to this tournament for that to happen.
