Wow I thought he overthrew it at first.

I did, too. Almost turned into a similar situation as last week's 2A state title game, when Sioux Center ran a trick play and had the QB throwback wide open for an easy TD that might have clinched the game, and the pass went just off his fingertips and they ended up losing.
