Iowa vs Nebraska Game Thread

This game is absolutely on Ferentz, Rudock is NOT a gamer/winner. This should have been a blowout. What an embarrassing display of coaching/quarterbacking. So many missed opportunities. The 70's are calling they want their offense back Kirk.

I don't get all the criticism thrown at Jake, Special teams sucked, Deep Pass D sucked, Receivers (Hamiliton) dropped TD passes. Powell and Vandenburg fumbled. Jake missed an easy throw....seems like there is a LOT of people to blame. Including the coaching staff. 4 of 5 losses could have been wins for this team to go way worse than 9-3...on the coaching staff....bunch needs to be shown the door.

2nd and goal in O.T. We run Wesiman wide?? Totally wasted play.
Totally wasted season.
Iowa had them buried and Ferentz curled up like a little girl. run, run, **** poor throw. 3 and out. run, run, **** poor throw, 3 and out. Look at the scoreboard and Iowa is behind.

Rudock should have been pulled in the 3rd qtr. Iowa needs an athlete back there.
Proof again. Ferentz would rather lose than admit he is playing the wrong qb.

Look pal, you can find a hold on every play from both teams in football. Let it go.

Iowa and it's conservative hard headed coaching staff ****** this game straight down their legs.

There were too many bad plays to pick one that cost Iowa the game, but in OT, 2nd and goal and you run a stretch play to the short side with Weisman and it hadn't worked all the 2nd half is the type of crap that cost Iowa this game.
 
What are all you idiots talking about....Jake stunk. He missed two big plays for scores.......he threw a three yard pass on a third and seven. He is NOT a gamer, I am sure he is a fine student athlete and coach's wet-dream, or at least Ferentz' but he is not a winner. If all of you continue to embrace mediocrity that is exactly what you will get.

Mind boggling frustrating......Outside zone? Ok, I guess.....On a stretch? Weisman has been here a decade you know what his strengths and weaknesses are. They did that over and over again late in that game.
 
I have always liked KF. But I can't handle losing like this anymore and just KNOWING we would lose as soon as momentum shifted.

This is really more of a "me" issue...but having these losses happening over and over, and having my weekends ruined....it can't continue.

KF, step down, stay on as a player development and Oline consultant /coach. As for GD...he can go to hell.
 
Sooner or later someone needs to deal with the facts. Jon and others have posted very elaborate analyses which all conclude the same thing KF is an average coach running an averagocrity program and has been for a decade. I posted an analyses a few months ago comparing recruiting class rankings, stats and W&L's versus K-State. You can't come to any other conclusion KF and his staff are just NOT GOOD. I always assess a purchase with quality price/results....the ratio has stablized but at a horrendously low value.

For those of you that watch Shark Tank Kevin O'Leary would say "You are dead to me...that's a terrible idea..."

You know what's funny (not really) is they probably ran all those outside runs with Weisman because they watched film of Wisconsin and Minnesota gashing them on the outside and deduced that's how you beat them.

Ferentz wasn't a good coach even when he was winning and it was blatenty obvious. I thought he was good at fielding a good team (and maybe he was) but knce he got that team on the field he was the same coach then as he is now.
