I doubt we'll every see another gameplan like OSU 2017 again unless Iowa is playing OSU.
You bring up an interesting point.

Iowa has changed its scheme only a few times under KF, and in recent years it was against OSU

In 2017 we came out throwing

In 2013 we came out with a 3 TE set and nearly beat them in their house

I assume it’s because KF has something against Urban

Tho not a division game, this game is huge nationally for exposure!

Yes this is a huge national spotlight game as both teams are ranked, Michigan has more pressure on them and are the preseason top 10 team at home.

But even though it is not a division game it counts just as much as a division game. All games in the Big 10 count toward winning your division and fans need to understand that. The only thing that is different in a cross division game is there is no tiebreaker aspect to it.

If I could take a win over Wisky right now by giving up a win vs Michigan I would because then we would have the tiebreaker against Wisky and basically a 1.5 game lead on them.

Michigan 27
Iowa 21

But Harbaugh doesn’t quiet his detractors when he goes for a 2 pt conversion with a 6 point lead.

When asked about it in the post-game, he said

“We went for two because we couldn’t go for three. And If Iowa scored a TD then we wanted them to have to score a 2 pt conversion to tie.”

I think Iowa State beats Michigan. What in Michigan's play this year says otherwise? I don't get this MU overrating system. It's mind boggling.

These are two very equally matched teams. I think we get the edge with our line play today. If we don’t turn the ball over and the secondary doesn’t get burned bad we win. 20-17 Iowa

Things I am thankful for prior to kickoff...

Kirk isn't going against a rookie coach.

Iowa has an extremely experienced QB, this is a big advantage, I think.

Iowa has functioning wide receivers.

Iowa has a punter.

Iowa has decent OLs and DLs, getting more healthy.

Iowa has gone beyond The 3YPC Running Attack.

Iowa has a chance to go 5-0.

Iowa now has a more experienced OC.

Nebraska has another opportunity to lose another game.

I’ve been listening to just about every Michigan podcast and have been reading just about all articles coming from the Michigan perspective. 51% of the fans and media over there have Michigan losing to Iowa. If they aren’t that confident, then I don’t think the coaches and players are either. They are under enormous pressure. I think they come out and play tight whereas Iowa comes in and plays loose.

Michigans DBs are bad. I think iowa has the advantage here. As long as they dont get sloppy iowa can run away with this.

31-10 Iowa

I predict I will be full of anxiety...probably get real mad. And will either have a great afternoon...or I will be snapping at my wife the rest of the weekend....depending on the outcome of the game. My poor wife.
