Iowa v Indiana Predictions

Gessel won't be able to hang with Oladipo so I am thinking Clemmons gets the nod in this matchup. Woodbury will get eaten alive by Zeller. I feel Gabe would be a better defensive matchup against Zeller as long as he stays wide and doesn't leave his feet for the block. Zeller will eat him alive with his back to the basket if not.

Gatens started to improve his junior year with no help scoring from the outside. His senior year he had a run that will be remembered for ages......

Would I like to have his sharpshooting now, yes, but he is gone and Josh is his apparent heir who will overcome his reluctance to shoot, and taking better shots when he does. We are going to need his three this season in the Big Ten......

I have faith that Josh will correct his game soon, even though he is helping right now with his D, which is much better, and his ballhandling and passing. He has been instrumental in some games preconference, shooting three threes in the second half against Gardner-Webb, among others......

Josh doesn't force anything and he contributes in many different ways. I still think Josh is Iowa's biggest key because Iowa needs someone to hit 3-pt shots consistently. With his improvements defensively, Iowa is going to need his size at the 2 spot as well. Oglesby is at that point in his career where he seems to want to make a play, but can't decide just how he wants to do it, just listen to Fran and be ready to shoot at all times and that is all he needs, everything else will take care of itself if he just does what he does best. There is going to be a point this season where he hits a huge shot and doesn't stop shooting, I hope it is sooner rather than later.

I wonder if Ingram has played against Yogi in high school and/or AAU. Perhaps he will be able to help slow Yogi down a bit. He is very fast and we need to impede his progress, speed and excellent passing.....

Ingram might prove his value in this game. We will need his defensive expertise.....

I'm excited for this one. Carver will be rockin'. I think the Hawks come up a bit short though. Hoosiers by 8.

70-62 Indy. 10-14 point Indy lead at halftime. Iowa rallies a bit....learns how to play against the big boys....gains confidence...bodes well for the rest of the year.

this one's for you herby
