Iowa State Lost

Of course Monte Morris is the best said every cyfan and no one else ever. I in no way acted like we beat Wisky. I did act like we won which UNI and ISU were unable to do yesterday. I'm sure you've never seen anybody over at cyfan rejoice over a Hawkeye loss. Of course you called them out. Forever is another cyfan loser who comes here to try to be relevant because it's something that can never happen at cyfan.

That sentence right there nailed it.

I could almost get onboard with a contrite ForeverIowan posting on the site......probably your least d0uche post to date (even though you did take a shot at only beating Pedo St.). I understand though, that probably was tough watching your rival pull out a close game while Niang was doing this:

I'm ok with a cyclone posting. I just wish the ones with half a brain were posting.

No it wasnt hard to watch. As I said congrats on the win and you guys should now be in. Difference between the two programs is the Hawks needed that win to stay off the bubble with the likes of tulsa, temple, Rhode island. ISU needed the win to stay in the conference title race with Kansas. We didn't make it happen we don't deserve the conference title this year. We should be better next year. Cupboard is a little bare in IC next year though.

Iowa lost 2 starters from a year ago, one being an NBA player. Return 4 starters next year and add 4-6 new faces.

He has already said he is coming back for his junior Season. Not only is he a soph he is young for his class. No rush he can improve his draft stock. And if you don't think he is widely considered at minimum a top 5 PG in the country you are misinformed.

Someone asked him if he’s returning? He has yet to appear in a mock draft. An A/TO ratio is not the end-all-be-all, especially when it’s in a 4 out offense that shoots a high number of 3’s.

That's the chronic battle cry of the ISU fan. Iowa is probably as good or even better than last year. ISU is not as good as last year, but could be better next year any word if Fred has whispered sweet nothings to Sulaimon yet?

So Let me get this straight. There were four guys Niang could have passed to. Instead he passed to the worst freethrow shooter who was running into a double team? Brilliant!

What is your 8 man rotation next year at the moment? Better yet who are your 4-5 froncourt players? If you can't admit next year could be rough well you are in for a rude wake up call there buddy.

I don't think any of us don't think there is a potential for a letdown next year, but you might want to pick a year when we lose the core of our players like two years from now. Losing White and GO sucks, but we have some nice young talent that will hopefully fill the gaps. Don't you feel the same about your team?

The GIF is tough to watch. Georges played a good game right up until the end. Part of it was being tired I think, we cut down to a 6 man rotation in the second half and pushed the starters a lot harder than we normally do. The second is that Georges has seemed to rush inbounds passes the past two games. He had two throwaways against Baylor when we were in total meltdown mode and if you watch the KSU GIF you'll notice he never looks to his right to see Iwundu lurking for the steal. I love the team but they seem to be struggling late in games when they should be putting teams away. Hopefully it gets corrected.

Also the CF quote that was posted here I am pretty sure is from Clonedude, a well known overly-dramatic meltdown queen.

McKay was 5/6 from the line that day (possibly 4/5). Also, we weren't in the bonus, so it wasn't a shooting foul yet. Just had to get it in to someone.

Why do you have such a problem admitting he is a stud? He ran circles around your team in Iowa City. Seth Greenberg said he was the best point guard in the country. Jay Williams said he was no doubt top five. Get over yourself. Did anyone ask if he was coming back you ask? Well maybe give the Sports illustrated article attached below a read. Call me when Gessell or Clemmons have an SI article written on them. SI asked Monte if there was any chance of him turning Pro after is Sophomore year (Last couple paragraphs). He said regardless of how the season plays out he will be back because he knows there are several areas of his game he needs to improve before he wants to enter the NBA. I never said he was a one and done NBA talent but to say he isn't an elite PG in college bball right now you have zero clue what you're talking about. Any other questions?

ISU has the cornerstones of their team returning. Morris, Long, Niang, McKay. Those are our four best players this year. Thomas and Nader provide a nice bench. We picked up a top 50 recruit/talent Deonte Burton. Hallice Cooke shot 46% from three as a freshman for Oregon State. We are also a finalist for top 10 recruit Cheick Diallo. Sorry to the haters but yes we will be better next year.

LOL @ Morris being a top 5 PG in the country. That is rich. I can name 6 off the top of my head that are hands down better than Morris. Let's see...D'Angelo Russell, Tyus Jones, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jerian Grant, Terry Rozier and Isaiah Taylor. All of those guys are projected 1st round picks. Morris isn't even projected to be a 2nd round pick. I get loving one of your own players, but you must be outside yo mind!

Morris is a good PG, not doubt about it, but he might not even be the best in the Big12, it is certainly debatable. Many announcers use hyperbole when talking about players/teams. I mean Jay Bilas and many others had Iowa as a dark horse final 4 team.....how did that work out? They have also heaped praise on Seth Tuttle, and many others.

I think Morris is Freds first NBA guys (took that rolodex 7 years....maybe Fred should ditch the rolodex and get with a smartphone or something, that rolodex must be broken).

Wait, when DeJean-Jones didn't play against Iowa he was your best player. Now he's not even one of your 4 best players?

Are you better this year than last year? I was told ISU would be better than last year.

It must really pain Forever Iowan that Iowa is projected as a 7 seed and ISU is projected as a 5 seed. He wants to believe that the programs are light years apart, but unfortunately that isn't true.

Iowa would have had a better chance with him chucking away out there, instead of Nadar killing us (has he hit a 3 since the Iowa game?)
