Iowa State beat the brakes off of Illinois and ISU is without 4 players

Is Illinois that bad or is Iowa St that much improved? I haven't seen either team play this year. It's always good to see Illannoy fans crying in their breast milk. :)

Illinois isn't very good but Iowa State does have some talented freshmen who are all getting a ton of PT due to the other guys being out. It will be interesting to see how they divvy up minutes once everyone is back. Illinois basically has one really good player and then a bunch of so-so guys. Ironically, their one really good player is the guy they took instead of Horton-Tucker who ended up going to ISU. Horton-Tucker wanted an Illinois offer, but he was their fallback option.

Illinois hung with Gonzaga and were up 5 on Iowa State at halftime. They aren't terrible. However, if you look at their schedule, there's a real possibility they start the season 2-9 (0-2 in the B1G). Their schedule isn't doing them any favors when they can't win any of the games.

Iowa State looks talented but really young. It would be huge if Iowa could beat them before their 3 guys come back. They'll likely do well in the Big 12.

I think they expect to have their guys back in time for our game.

Is Wiggington injured?

It's November 21 and we've already reached peak Cyclones fan. Comparing themselves to Duke now. There is no humility in their vocabulary. The most arrogant college basketball fanbase in the country. Holy lord.
