Iowa shows interest in former NBA stars son

Not to pick nits and I honestly dont remember him playing at all, but was Reggie Theus really an NBA "star"?

Its sad that I remember him more for his acting prowess on probably one of the worst TV shows ever made more than I do for his playing career.

Two time All Star with the Chicago Bulls (pre Jordan era) and a prolific scorer (19,000 career points). It is debatable if he was a "star" but definitely one of the better NBA players in the 80s.

Yeah, Reggie Theus was a star. Think Brandon Roy. Solid combo guard who could pass and score. He was the type of player who is constantly underrated, yet is one of the better players in his era. It didn't help that he played for some of the sorriest franchises in the league, either.

He was a very good player. He played for UNLV and was drafted at the 9 spot by Chicago. He was a two time all-star and scored 19,000 points and had 6500 assists. He also played for Atlanta and Sac but was never on a really great team. His son would be a great pickup and would be a slasher with hops.
