Below is a link to a webcast of one of their recent games. The first 2 1/2 minutes is a highlight reel for his high school team where he is shown several times (dunks, 3's, assists). The game itself was against one of the top ranked large schools in the state in which Hatchett's team won 70-51. He finished with 16pts and 7assts in the game.
IOWA has around 20 wing players, what would a true PG hurt? Perhaps if one is brought in, he may well push or even be better than Payne(would that taint your man crush for him Spank?), and IOWA can definitely use more talented players pushing each other for time and, better yet, pushing and taking it to our opponents. It almost seems as though you would rather they only recruit to not effect other guy's playing time, if that was the way it went, we would still have had Jake at QB this past year.
I agree, when your struggling like Iowa, no one's position is a given. Go out and get the best talent you can. If Iowa brings in someone that beats out someone who started this year, great. Iowa will have a better team.
