Iowa needs 3

We really have to beat MSU if for no other reason than to settle this ongoing HN argument. It's what has to happen.

I think I would blow a gasket if they kept Iowa out of the tournament after going 9-9 in conference and 22 wins overall. Never before has a Big Ten team ever got left out of the tournament with 22 overall wins, even during the years the Big Ten was down. But now the Big Ten is the best it has been (if not ever been) and they leave out a 22 win team? This would be worse than what happened in 94/95 or 97/98.

No Dodger compared the Kansas loss at TCU to the Iowa loss at Nebraska. Our loss at Nebraska is actually much better than the Kansas loss at TCU. Let's use the RPI that so many people love so much...not me. TCU has an RPI of 229 and Nebraska has an RPI of 104.

He did more than compare the bad losses.

He went on to state Kansas and Mizzou made up for their bad losses with good wins on the road, something Iowa has not done.

You are repeating this piece of info as much if not more than Miller is repeating his prediction for Iowa's record this year.

Is it working? I figure another 20 times mentioning this I will have everyone convinced.

But at least I am not promoting myself. :p

It would be raining gaskets in Iowa on Sunday if this happened. It's hard to imagine unless we got crushed by OSU or ended up playing Purdue and losing somehow.

Has a B1G team with 9-9 and 22 overall ever had an OOC SOS in the 300's and an RPI in the mid-high 60's? It's just not as simple as conference record and win totals anymore.

You thinking he's going to pull Meyer's redshirt and start him? Bold move.

Cully Payne 's coming back

Not sure but looking through a few seasons I forgot about 08/09 Penn State. They got left out with 22 wins so you will be happy to learn that I cannot use that one anymore. Like Iowa they had a horrible non conference (worse than Iowa IMO) and finished with an RPI of 70 after losing to Purdue in the second round of the BTT.

Big Ten was considered down that year but 7 teams made the NCAA and MSU made it to the finals.

Guess I need to find another excuse for Iowa to reach the dance. Weird I got to defend why I think Iowa deserves to be in the tournament with another Hawk fan.

I don't think you're dealing with another Hawk fan...if that makes you feel any better.

Sorry Kelley...did we just tell people what can and can't happen while Seth Davis "is talking to current and former D1 coaches, professional bracketologists, former Selection committee members, and possibly even current committee members."

He "likes" any post that bashes the hawks or praises isu. Pretty unlikely he's a hawk fan.

Had me fooled then, I always took him as a glass half empty kinda guy.

That is the one thing that bugs me about this site are the people that post here pretending to be Hawk fans. I respect the trolls that do not claim to be something they are not.

Just because I'm not a Kool aid drinking forum noob I'm not a fan? I know this is serious business to you, which makes it all the more hilarious. I mean, you don't even get the concept of trolling or understand what a troll is.

My belief is that it is incongruent to disparage a man's fidelity to his team just because he analyzes hypotheticals through alternate requisites. That almost all observers are biased to one result is indicative of an inability to discuss pragmatic scenarios without a barrage of aspersion. Since the plurality has concluded Iowa's competency to enter the tournament, in the face of an abundance of contrary evidence, any conclusion derived from that axiom is inherently fallacious.

I never called you a troll. But you know as well as I do that trolls post here pretending to be a Hawk fans.

You know what they say about people that use big words, right? :D
