That would be a 33% winning percentage. What exactly would a team losing 2/3rds of their games be competeing for? The only thing Iowa is competeing for is 7th place.
People seem to mistake liking the team with the team being talented. Yeah, the coach has a pulse, and the players don't look like their parents died anymore, but God bless 'em, they just are not as good as the other teams.
6 wins and that winning percentage would be better than last year and would be more enjoyable to watch.
Iowa has talent, it is young talent, but I will take it, we need more talent and there are two talented players joining next year, maybe more.
I guess if people are expecting Iowa to win more than 6 games that is not reality, unless this team surprises.
Competing to me is playing hard every possession good or bad and trying to put yourself in the best position to win. Nobody can argue Iowa hasn't done that this season. The BT poses a different challenge, I am just hoping not to see the 20+ pt losses like last year.
