In light of the questionable action to suspend a person like Dolphin when there was clearly no negative intent on his part how could you possibly not suspend McCafrrey for a crazed reaction with loads of intent? Bobby Knight got away with being a despicable bully for years because he won games. McCaffrey shouldn't get a pass even if he does make the tournament.

I think this situation, at least in Barta’s mind, calls for a contract extension. Add 8 years and a buyout that is the worst in all of college sports.

Nailed it.
The General won 3 NCAA Championships and 11 B1G titles, which bought him A TON of slack to offset his conduct.., but face it - the hothead persona became part of who Bobby Knight was as a coach. It was his identity and he thrived on it and threw it your face if you crossed him. People to this day love him or hate him because of him being a Hall o' Fame-winning, no filter-hothead.
Fran's got zilch to offset this.
I hope-to-hell for Hawkeye players and fans that there is no video or audio of this incident.
Take his punishment (if there is any) like a man, move on and hopefully this won;t distract the team right when we need them focused the most.

No way. Screaming at refs is a time honored activity for coaches, even after the games. Maybe a fine or censure but no suspension.
