Iowa has interest in Royce White

Freddy Hoiberg has been up there the past few years so I'm sure he got to see the silky thief (allegedly) in action up there.....wouldn't be shocked if it were ISU

If White goes to ISU Fred will lose a lot of good will. I've never heard him mentioned to ISU though.

Really? I'd be happy to have him in Ames. We need talent and if Fred brings him in and gives him an incredibly short leash I'd be fine with it. McD brought in Mike Taylor and nobody had a problem with it and Fred's bucket of good will is overflowing.

An incredibly short leash would probably mean this kid never sees the court as there are plenty of chances to get into trouble between August and November and chances are he would find them or at least wouldn't make through the entire year. Then Fred starts off his career with a big black eye for bringing someone like this in, so I don't think you really want this kid representing ISU.

Does Royce White have an interest in paying his own way for 4 years?

Haven't you heard? That rule is out the window now.
Slippery slope has been greased with the Brust ruling.
Short leap to wide-open transferring and chaos in the Big Ten.

Yeah, I don't remember Ricky Davis breaking the law. Poor work ethic, bad attitude maybe but not a criminal.

No, Davis never got in trouble with the law. But as I said, think Ricky Davis only worse. (I sure hope our standard for Hawkeye athletes is higher than "at least he's not a criminal").

Living in Minneapolis, it's apparent that White is of the same mold. Sports types up here just shake their head at his escapades. And you know what homers Gophers are. I wouldn't want him in black and gold no matter how talented he is.

Sure seems like FM would burn a lot of his honeymoon with this recruit. Somehow I doubt the report is true. Weren't his Siena players also pretty good students and citizens?

OK, my goodwill. I'm proud of ISU and I want to keep it that way. Yes, that was a bit dramatic.

I'm sure ISU fans will "Lemming up" and buy in 100% if Fred takes him.

No way. I'm ashamed this kid won the state's Mr. Basketball. Many more-deserving kids were passed over for this. A great talent. Also a great waste of talent.

Too many kids think they are the next Michael Jordan. They also belive they are bigger then any of the programs they go too.

Iowa does not need this kid. If ISU wants the problem kid, take him.

A little bit of the Father Flanigan routine is okay for a coach who has established his ability to succeed with players who've had issues in the past (and I mean succeed off the court as well as on), but it's tough for a guy in his first year at a new job to sell that to an administration, I would think.
