Iowa Football: What are you looking forward to?

I am looking forward to a few things:1. To uncover this question, "Did Jake Rudock limit Jake Rudock back as a Hawkeye or did the HC/OC limit Jake Rudock as a Hawkeye?2. To see what CJB can do as a full-time starter. This will also give evidence for the answer to the first question.3. A less-than-average LB did not take advantage of a great d-line. How much improvement by LBs will determine how good Iowa's defense is going to be.4. Beat the teams they're supposed to beat and do it the way they're supposed to do it.5. Beat Nebby.
Since the announcement that JR is transferring to Michigan I, too, am looking forward to seeing how he performs has their QB. If he had a wildly productive year.......Oh Boy!! Even so CJB is the better option at QB. He may be more mistake prone, but his abilities give the Iowa offense something JR just couldn't......Big Play Potential!!

I personally gave Rudock the benefit of doubt in the beginning. In fact, his first year, he looked so much better than JVB i don't see how anyone didn't give him the benefit of doubt. If it wasn't for CJ, i would not have any issues with Rudock. I would put 100% of the checkdown blame on the coaching staff. But when the backup qb comes in and does all the things the starter doesn't, it's hard not to start doubting Rudock.

I can't believe how often i read on here that the qb position doesn't matter because we struggle everywhere else. That's ridiculous. A really good qb can be the difference in a 7-5 year and a 10-2 year. If CJ is allowed to throw down field this year, we will be noticeably better on offense.
Amen to that. It's the most important position in the game. Hopefully we will have a good one for the next two years.

I am very much looking forward to the upcoming football season, the many wins we will collect, the excitement, the tailgate, as well as the players AND coaches tremendous performances.

I am looking forward to a post season conference with Gary Barta and the dismissal of Kirk Ferentz.

With CHA renovated and the new football facility complete and given this Field Hockey mess the timing seems right for Barta to move on. I want a new AD sitting next to Ferentz announcing his "retirement".

a new coach
I agree. The issues with Iowa Football go beyond spending more time in the football facility, running game coordinators, visiting other schools, etc. The program is circling the drain and the only way to stop that is new leadership.

I could not agree more. If we can't defend the edge, all the offensive improvement will be for nothing. I hear the things I like to hear about Ben Nieman (not sure I am spelling that correctly?) on the outside. If he is as good in coverage as advertised our defense could take a serious step forward!

This is an interesting thought... Many complain that KirFer is stuck in his ways, and that he has yet to adapt to the ever changing game. Yet when he does somethings that signifies a willingness to change, he is still lambasted. I wonder if the skeptical attitude is a result many fans have from a general dislike of the coach due to the team record over the past few years. And if that's the case then why even get excited for the season, follow anything team related, or post on the football message board? Because regardless of any news the comes out; it's all gonna to be seen in a negative light by some fans.

That's a fair point.

That will continue until KF consistently beats the clowns, directional Michigan schools and any other terrible team.

I enjoy the changes in personnel every year that you get in college football. Seniors graduate and move on so new faces take their places. As much as I liked Weisman I'll be glad to see a change at RB. Obviously hoping Sunshine can do what we think he can do. That kind of thing.

Looking forward to the angelic voices of Pam and Beth. It’s kind of fitting to have them announce our games, really.

Is there a better voice delay sports AM/FM radio on the market with nice stereo sound and great reception?
