Iowa beats Alabama by 8 points!!!!

I'll say this. I feel much more comfortable with Cartwright running the point than Cully. Cully looks to be struggling in this system a little. Cartwright, while out of control at times, seems as though he is made for this pace. He looked like a one man press breaker on some occasions. Great win by the Hawks. No one expected it. Things will continue to get better as the year goes and the players find their roles in this offense and defense.

I'm guessing those complaining about Basabe haven't been watching. No, he's not putting up eye popping numbers, but he has been solid. He has some nice moves inside, rebounds well and will be a good one with some experience and time in the weight room.

No, I've definitely been watching (although it's tough to see everything in the little 4-inch streaming window on my laptop, and the Jamaican announcers weren't exactly getting into specifics of everyone's play). I'm not complaining about Basabe, and I think he's going to be great for us. I'm just comparing him to McCabe, who has not looked like a true freshman. Whereas Basabe has been pretty inconsistent-- flashes of great play followed by mystifying lapses-- McCabe has looked very comfortable most of the time he's on the court. Not a rip on Basabe at all (we are talking about true freshmen here); more of kudos to McCabe. He's really impressed me so far.

Thanks guys. I read through the article on the Alabama game and it said that time and date for the LBS game.
