I know this isn't a Hawkeye article, but it is a state of Iowa and UNI story. Since people think HN is slow right now, I thought some of you might enjoy the story. I remember the shot Jesperson made.
He played his high school ball in Merrill, Wisconsin. After UNI he beat around playing in the G League and overseas before working for the Atlanta Hawks 3 years. He spent a year as an assistant at Oklahoma. A year later he got hired as assistant for the Valley Suns, the Phx Suns G League team, whose head coach, John Little, also played at UNI and I believe was a teammate of Jesperson's on that same UNI team> Little is now an assistant on the Suns parent team.
Those UNI guys seem to find their way in the NBA.
