the study suggests t-cells carry a “memory” from previous infections and can help build an immunity for several years. I read on another site that somewhere between 40-60% of the population may be immune to covid due to their T-cell memory. So perhaps herd immunity can be reached with only 20% or less of the population being infected with covid-19 currently.
plus, there’s the positive outlook from this vaccine..
