I'm pissed they blew 2 winnable games yet still able to see Iowa is a great football program. It's weird.
 
Iowa is in a great spot. It really comes down to a 4 game schedule....all winnable games (but certainly Iowa can lose some of them too).

I think it comes down to the offensive line....if they can block for Stanley and calm him down, I think we can win 3 of 4 or possibly all 4.
 
It's so sad the way some of you want to jump up and down about such small accomplishments.

#16 is more about parity than it is about how good Iowa is. Woohoo, only one spot below blueblood powerhouse Utah! One spot ahead of lost-to-Maryland Texas. Two spots ahead of 3-loss Mississippi St.

In the AP poll we are #19, one spot below Utah State and just ahead of Fresno State.

It's been great the last couple weeks to have the Hawks in the Top-25, and actually see their scores & highlights covered with the rest of the big boys, but it doesn't change the fact that they missed their only 2 chances for "statement" wins.
 
I would like to think we will have at least one more chance for a statement win. I am hoping it will be on Dec 1st.

Must win at Purdue, though. Not sure how we will cover Rondale Moore.
 
This really surprised me when I heard this on the radio last night. I about drove in the ditch!

Obviously, they feel they are one of the two best 2 loss teams out there. Penn St is just above them.

How many conferences just happened to have non-con games against #22 - 25 ?

The fact that Indiana, Minnesota, and Maryland have all beaten CFP Top 25 teams says more about the quality of the CFP Top 25 than it does the B1G, I'd say.

Sure, but that's kind of the point of playing the games ya know? The B1G is not as bad as everyone wants to tell us it is, nor is Iowa or the conferences non con compared to their peers. There's absolutely nothing to support that narrative, yet it's still one that is rampantly driven on here.
 
Would love to still get that 1 extra game in Indy in early December. And hope it is Harbaugh on opposite side.

JKC man. Every year the teams ranked #10-25 have always probably sucked in your mind. Right now for the most part, if you have lost 1 or 2 games (if you played a tougher schedule) that is what makes up the #10-25 teams. Not sure why you think that makes teams shitty. The simple fact of the matter is if you go 9-4 you will more than likely be one of the top 25 teams in the country. It ain’t easy to do like some think.

I’m pissed they lost those games too. Especially the PSU game because that means they didn’t learn from the Wisconsin game.

But I’m talking about the hater-Hawk fans who say very little to nothing for props when the Hawks Win and can’t shut up when the Hawks lose.

You know who they are, don’t you?

I love that we are beating good ISU teams now instead of beating or losing to crappy ISU teams. Why couldn’t you guys win some games in 2015 and make our SOS look better? Then we wouldn’t have had to deal with that idiot Cowherd.

I don't know what JKC means...

But, I didn't say anybody sucked or was shitty. I said there's a lot of parity this year, and being in the Top-25 right now is not a huge accomplishment.

Also, if you look at the list, you'll see 3 teams w/ 3 losses. Mississippi State is #18, at 5-3? Like I said, parity (there were no 3-loss teams in the first CFP rankings last year).

Parity hit college football a long time ago, this is nothing new. At the end of the year the P5 teams that are 9-4 and better will be top 25 teams, it has been like that for awhile now. Heck even when Fry was around and they played one less game when Fry went 8-4 he was gonna be ranked in the top 25 as well.

I think Cowherd's head is so far up you know where, he wouldn't even notice if ISU is winning or not.
