Iowa 14th In AP

I can definitely live with that. Win the next three, and we've got a top 10 showdown when MSU comes to Carver. My God, that will be the biggest game Carver has seen in decades.

the place will be rocking for sure!

What is best is that of all of the teams that I have seen play who are ranked ahead of Iowa, there is not a single team that Iowa could not beat on the right night.

Heck, we've had double-digit leads against 4 of them away from home.

I hope yesterday's win was a permanent mental breakthrough.

I agree we could beat anyone on a given day. There are only 2 teams that I think are just flat out better than us and that's Arizona and Syracuse.

Nice... in threat of derailing a thread, am I reading it correct that ISU moved up a spot after losing at Oklahoma?

I mean I didn't think it was a terrible loss but I certainly didn't expect them to move up. I guess in fairness, I never expected Iowa to move up after losing at Wisconsin but that I understood a little bit, being it was a top 5 team.

I haven't seen enough of the Arizona team to comment on them but watched the Nova Syracuse came in full and I want no part of that 2-3 zone.

We hit some 3s in the 2nd half yesterday but we don't have the 3 point shooting to beat that zone.

Baylor win is included.

They also destroyed then #7 Baylor at home. Good home win + close road loss to a now-ranked OU means no movement in polls. Baylor dropped below them, so they moved up. Makes sense.

Bring em into Carver, I think Iowa could give them a game. Heck if Alford's UCLA team can I am sure Marble, White, and company could make it interesting.

I agree with you. My point is I think we are right there with everyone else on a neutral court...meaning I would want to avoid these 2 teams in my regional if the NCAA field were set today.

Well, in at least 7 years.

Way, way more than 7 years. The biggest home game we played at Carver in 05-06 was against #16 Michigan State. We were ranked #18.

My guess is sometime during either the '97-'98 year or '92-'93. If not one of these two, it would have to be when we beat #3 Indiana at Carver in '87. We were, of course ranked #1.
