Iowa 14th In AP

Kentucky, Iowa state, Wisconsin and Baylor have all lost this week and were ranked above us. San Diego State struggled with Fresno st. Ohio state plays tonight. There are a few more relevant games this weekend. If we take care of business like we should with Minnesota, I THINK WE MIGHT BE LOOKING AT A TOP 10 RANKING AS EARLY AS NOON ON MONDAY!!!!

All of college basketball is suddenly exciting to me again. I coin this season as FRANTASTIC.

I'm not holding my breath. Kentucky, Iowa State and Baylor will all drop behind us, but I'm guessing that Kansas is going to jump us. I'm guessing that we'll end up at #12 on Monday, unless Ohio State manages to lose again, in which case we'll be #11. From that position, a win over Michigan could be good enough to jump a team or two that struggled in a win.

Win three games, and I think we're all but locks for the top 10.

Kentucky is currently 13th. Iowa 14th. Kentucky already lost. I don't think they will come in in front of us. Ohio state just lost. Minnesota is looking pretty good. If we win, kansas won't jump us. As it stands right now, we will be in the 10 spot with a win. Possibly higher, depending on outcomes this weekend, but not lower.

Kansas just beat the #9 team on the road, and they're Kansas. They also play Okie State in Lawrence this weekend and they'll absolutely jump us if they win that game, too.

Teams in front of us that will definitely drop below us in the next poll if we win: ISU, Ohio State, Kentucky and Baylor. That puts us in the top 10 if Kansas doesn't jump us, but I think that's a long shot. Depending on how the game goes, I could see them jumping us even with a loss to Okie State. But in Phog Allen and with how they're playing right now, I'd be picking Kansas to win that game. And there is absolutely no way a win over Minnesota trumps a pair of top-10 wins, one of which coming on the road in one of the toughest venues in the country.

if kansas beats ok st and jumps us, then ok st will drop from their spot. Still leaving us at 10

That might depend on how the game goes. OSU isn't going to drop far unless they get drilled. Losing a tight game in Phog Allen is hardly shameful. We jumped a bunch of spots last week because we had one of the best wins in college basketball and a bunch of teams lost. Minnesota isn't on that level, so I'm not counting on a similar bump if OSU keeps it close in Lawrence.

My guess is that once we get a few more games and wins in the big we will hover around the top ten area which I think is probably close to accurate. On a good day maybe top 5, when we are playing "meh" around 15.
