Injury rumor for tomorrow????

This is FALSE. Was just over there... was a made up thread. We are fine and good to go. There was thread titled bad news, but was meant to get at the clones or something. Go Hawks!

This, it was a joke thread that got out of hand. THERE IS NO INJURY RUMOR.

The OP over there started it to see if they could bait ISU lurkers into running with it over on CyFan. The rest of the posts in the thread are about ostriches...seriously.

Very informative thread. Thanks for posting.

In related news I may have won the lottery, but I can't find the ticket to prove it.

Did you know "Tavern Hawk" isn't in Wikipedia? Pretty disappointing. Maybe I'll open a bar called The Tavern Hawk. Maybe I should stop typing everything I think.

I wish I had a Rivals premium membership so that I could be privy to that false rumor!!!

yes, very informative indeed. Determined that something posted on TOS was a hoax and you did it in less than 2 pages of responses. Now the real question is how long everybody can keep this thread going with random other posts.....

i would much rather deal with the occasional false rumor thread than wade through the waves of threads about what channel the game is on every week.......

That is the real question. Has anyone been rick rolled lately?? Better yet, anyone seen an athlete riding on a moped?? I have! Once saw someone fly off into back of a vehicle. Wasnt an athlete though.

What I learned in that thread. (thanks to GiveHimTheW)

Did you know?

Ostrich is the fastest two-legged runner in the whole world. It can attain a speed of 45 miles per hour which is about twice to what the fastest human can attain.

Intestine of an ostrich is about twice as long as that of a human. It is 46 feet long.

Ostriches never need to drink water. Some water is made internally in their system and the rest of water is extracted from the vegetation they eat.

Contrary to an immensely popular myth created by ancient Roman encyclopedist and philosopher Pliny the Elder, an ostrich does not bury its head in sand at the first sign of danger. However, it does strech its long neck flat on sand while sleeping which might look like it has buried its head in sand from a distance. Ostrich population wouldn't have survived for 120 million years by burrying its head in sand.

Did you know that the brain of an ostrich is smaller than either one of its eyeballs and each of its each eye is the size of a billiard ball?

It kicks forward. Seems strange?

Do you know which is the largest extant bird on earth? Answer: An ostrich!

Some males reach a height of 8 feet. It belongs to the Ratite family, which means flightless bird.

This is no more a little-known fact that egg of an ostrich is the largest of all eggs, but did you know that it is in fact the smallest egg in relation to size of the bird. The egg is only 1 percent the weight of an ostrich hen. Weight of an ostrich egg is equivalent to about two dozen chicken eggs. The ostrich hen can lay 40 to 100 eggs per year with an average of 60 eggs per year. Their eggs need about about 42 days of incubation to hatch. Females incubate during the day time while males incubate at night.

Then he recovered quickly! Although when I saw this it was about 3 yrs back.. could be considered a slow recovery. Ohh well he will be starting for us soon.
