Incarnate Word?!?

lets say Iowa State only has 4 wins on the season and even winning the Incarnate Word game won't make them bowl eligible. Do they still play the game? Who the F would go to that worthless meaningless game in December?

5-7 gets you to a bowl. See Nebraksa

Sounds like they had multiple other attempts shot down by the NCAA so basically take what you can get. They would have beat SDSU and they'll beat this team so I see it as a wash

Pollard was probably waiting to see if ISU beat Iowa before making the call to IW. Doing the math and looking at the upcoming sched, he's thinking 5-6 by 12/1 is a strong possibility.

How do they select which 5-7 team to invite to a bowl game again? Graduation rate or something? Yeah maybe that's not in ISU's favor.

How many fans if in the stands for that one if they are 4 - 7 or even if they already have their 6th win going into it? We shall see how devoted that fan base is since they claim to be such. If only 4 - 7 the could probably just have one side of stadium closed off and a few hot dog stations open for food.

Pollard iniatially wanted to play non scholarship Drake. Is Incarnated Word a step up or a step down in competition?

Liberty University and Oral Roberts apparently weren't available, or too risky

Liberty is quite a bit better than Incarnate Word, and Oral Roberts doesn't have a football team. Sagarin has Incarnate Word rated 228 out of 256 division I teams, two steps above Drake.
