In-State OL Trevor Downing Sees Iowa Again, Decision Expected Soon

You hate to see Iowa lose out on their top guys. If Iowa wants him this early, he is no doubt a good OLman and will do well at ISU. There are many more good OL prospects out there though, and I'm sure Iowa will bring one of them in to go along with Jenkins. The thing is Downing would be better after 5 years of development under KF and staff than he will be under Campbell, and his predecessor and their staffs.
ISU is where lineman go to die. Haven't they promoted guys like Campos, Good-Jones and Shawn Curtis as All-Americans and high NFL draft picks. Isn't Osemeli their only success story who was about to be cut by the Ravens until they put him next to Marshall Yanda who taught him how to play.

Pretty simple, really. If he wants to work in agriculture after college, ISU is his best choice. If he wants to be an NFL lineman after college, Iowa is his best choice. It really is that simple!

Oh well.
I'm sure we will stay close though in case they go 1and11 this year and he decides it might be smart to go somewhere that they actually know how to play football.

Why is it that Iowa doesn't offer AG related majors anyway? I've always wondered that. All that liberal arts crap is ok I guess but come on. Iowa is the heart of agriculture and the largest state run university doesn't have anything to do with it just about... The fact that ISU is the AG school with no competition sucks.

Wut? ISU is the larger school.
