Impressed/Not Impressed

i would hope the players would not hit their ceiling til the end of their senior year
who could have predicted these kids would beat 6th ranked Purdue last spring, and other than Cole, who can be replaced
a year older and a year seasoned can do alot for players, i look at this team being led by 2 senior guards, one is a pt, a senior pt goes a long ways to a good season, i stand by my prediction of 20 wins

once Iowa starts playing teams that don't play a helter-skelter type of game and the refs stop ruining the tempo with calling 40+ fouls a game, then i think we will get a better feel for this team

this is about like the 89-90 team, minus Ray Thompson (after he and Garner were ineligible)

another good recruiting class, and '13-'14 will be good

until then, not enough talent. it's that simple.

At this point, impressed with the play of White, but not based entirely on that first game. I thought he showed alot against Creighton, considering. Impressed with Oglesby, start him (over May?) Basabe will be ok as long as the attitute is in check, just needs some support around him atm.

None of them are impressive

it will take a while to get the Lickliter stink off of this program.

Gatens -- comitted to Alford orginally. No coincidence he is the best Jr.-Sr. we have. Alford had many flaws, but he could recruit legitimate Big Ten players.

Lick didn't sign a single player who had the talent to be a starter on a first division Big Ten team. Maybe, maybe, Larson -- but McCabe, Marble, and May are bench material. I don't see any of them near, say, James Moses in talent level.

Next year's team will struggle -- top-100 freshmen are still freshmen. '13-'14.
