I see they are ranked around 32nd in the polls....I know it seems far fetched but...WE ARE BACK!!!1:D
 
If we go undefeated in the nonconference season we might be ranked by conference play

I just don't want to get beat by 20+. A close, competitive game will make me happy. Creighton is no joke. A win would be icing on the cake.
 
I was listening to the announcers on WHO radio during the coaches show (football) and they were talking about how creighton had played two of the same teams we have played this year and beat them by a larger point spread then we did. They said it is going to be a benchmark game for Iowa to see where this program is. They don't expect a twenty point win. I will be happy with a one point win. Twenty would be great but a win of any kind would make me happy.
 
Creighton will win the MVC hands down. They have a very good team. Mac's son is almost unstoppable and i'm not sure we have anyone that can contain him. I really don't see us winning this game. I really hope i'm wrong though.

Iowa vs Chicago State: 96-53
Creighton vs Chicago St: 97-65

Iowa vs North Carolina A&T: 95-79
Creighton vs North Carolina A&T: 97-65

Transitive property never works in sports. The only guarantee is two decent teams will be playing in Des Moines on Sunday and I hope that Iowa has more points than Creighton when the final buzzer sounds.
 
Heard from the Fortune Teller that Iowa emerges victorious Sunday at Wells Fargo....

If we are undefeated after Clemson, i think we will recieve some votes but we will not break into the top 25.

There have been at least 5 ranked teams that have lost already, and there will probably be at least 5 different ranked teams with a loss due to all the tournaments the next 2 weeks.
 
Just get me a W on Sunday and I'll be thrilled. Even if it's a last-second shot to give us a 1 point win. Creighton is a good team and I'd be surprised if we were able to win this game by more than a few points. A loss in this game won't surprise me in the least.
 
i was going to ask this question myself, but you have to remember how the pollsters think, which is actually very little, i have to think even though we are not ready to be ranked, we actually might get a few votes with a victory over Creighton and being undefeated after the Clemson game might be enough to sneak into the top 25
this team clearly is better than last years team but i am not sure a solid Top 25 better, although i still stand by my prediction of 20 wins
