It's true, though not many coaches have a tree as successful as Hayden did. The fact that our successful coordinators like the Parkers have been so fiercely loyal speaks volumes about Kirk though. KF just confirmed in his pressor today that he's indeed coming back next yr full steam ahead. So we can shelve this thread for another yr anyway
That definitely was a failed experiment, but he remains well-respected and his players rave about his approach to teaching. Many coaches just fit better at the college level, and he may be one of them, though I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up back in the NFL as a DC.No one in Detroit had a good thing to say about him.
