Good luck getting students thereI think the location I screenshotted above would be perfect.
- The U already owns every bit of it. Don't have to pay someone $50M for land.
- Plenty of parking room.
- Iowa HOF right there and could stay there.
- Could probably even be done without moving tennis and XC facilities.
- Mormon Trek connects to 218/380 both north and southbound, and Hwy 6/2nd St. main drag to the north which also connects to 218/380/Riverside.
-Melrose connects to 218/380 north and southbound.
-PLENTY of room for nightlife/hotel/food/shopping development.
suites aren't the answer. Getting the seats closer to the floor is. Good luck with that, The bowl design was inherently flawed. Only solution is to rip out and lower the floor. That ain't happenin'They are going to renovate CHA. Adding luxury suites to an arena built into ground seems pricey, but I am not an engineer or an architect so what the f*ck do I know. Chopping the capacity from 15,500 to around 12,500, make another run at the Hawks Nest(getting students closer to the court) and adding luxury suites…good chance that it is the way it is heading.
