"If Iowa was in another conf" predictions

Well, Mizzou is in SEC. They play IllAnnoy. We play IllAnnoy. Some comparison is available then.

They'd probably go undefeated in the MEAC.

They haven't lost to anyone in that conference yet, and finish the non-conf with back to back MEAC opponents.

4th at best, SEC is top heavy in basketball with teams like Kentucky and Mizzou who would rather pay basketball recruits than football recruits, unlike the rest of the conference.

It's early for these predictions, the only team that has proven their worth is Duke. Every other undefeated team has beat one ranked team all year.

No it's not. Clowns finish 10th in the B10, maybe 11th. Depends on if they can beat Nebby or not.

I was thinking 4th would be a reasonable prediction for most years. This year like say if we replaced Florida I would assume we could place 3rd.

It's a hard thing to presume since I haven't noticed a style of play that causes Iowa problems under Fran. Or do I know much about SEC basketball.

Northwestern ran a 1-3-1 zone last year we couldn't seem to break at times. Not sure if that was on the players or on Fran but that was one of the times where I really thought one particular defense just broke us down

Zones don't break you down. It means you are struggling to shoot or pass or can't penetrate and dish. It exposes weaknesses in fundamentals. Zones are used by teams trying to cover weakness.

You just described the B1G take away OSU and maybe recently UM who of course would be average in the SEC for football.
